Human Habitats, Urbanisation and the Future of the City

Our research interest is in understanding the changing nature of the city and the impact of new patterns of work, technology and communication. We are interested in the development of the "smart city" and seek to understand the incidence and impact of, for example, crime and other phenomena on them. In addition we investigate trends in urbanisation, working to assess how cities will absorb high numbers of migrants and adapt to fast-moving socio-economic change. Our research has informed client reports and we maintain a current interest in a major urban development in an Asian country.
